Molunat is one of the settlements located at the very south of Croatia, called Konavle, named after the peninsula where the bay is situated. The distance between Molunat and Dubrovnik is 42 kilometers, there are 27 kilometers to Cavtat and 21 kilometers to the airport. There is a coach line connecting Dubrovnik and Cavtat, going several times a day. Name Molunat comes from the Greek word molus - port, suggesting that there was a port once. In the past, during the Republic of Ragusa defensive walls were built from the part of the sea, which ruins can be seen today. This settlement began to grow and develop in the 19th century.
